On Monday, probably for the first time, I did not have to pretend that I have something to do. Actually, I had quite a lot of work, or better said, I had all the time something to do. For the first time since I have been here, I had great feeling that I am doing something useful. We were preparing program for visitor's group in June. Renatka told me that if I want to visit some place, I should tell her, cause I will be taking care of the group and we can incorporate my points into the program. I proposed the
Chocolate Museum and Erasmus’ House. Seem to be interesting places.
Great :-)) In addition, I always wanted to try being a guide. This is real opportunity.
Sad news: I cannot call to Peru from our office. I can call probably wherever in Europe, to Canada and USA, but Peruvian numbers are forbidden.
I had lunch with Adam. For the first time I went to one of these pubs at Place de Luxembourg. It is quite expensive there, but well, I could not leave Brussels without once having lunch there among all the other eurocrats.
I left office after eight o’clock. With Renatka and her parents we were watching plenary in Strasbourg. Our boss had a five minutes’ speech and the topic of “Advanced therapies” was discussed. These “Strasbourg red weeks” seem to be quiet in Brussels, no deputes are here, the most of assistants left. Our office is quiet and no stress in there.
When I came home, Petra asked me, if I would like to go for a walk with her. I agreed. She showed me lakes in Ixelles. Actually, this part of the city is nice and great to live in. We had a nice talk.
Vašek will come on 11th of May. This will be just after first visitor's group left, so I will be able to show him around at least the most interesting places in Brussels.
